Members of the Hickory Hills Police Department recently participated on “Cop on the Roof” at the local Dunkin Donuts to help raise money for Special Olympics. The Department raised $2,700 for this cause. This event provided an opportunity for Department members to interact with the community while supporting the Special Olympics Athletes.

Chief Alan Vodicka recently introduced the Department’s newest recruit, Officer Amy McMahon, to the City Council at a City Council Meeting. Officer McMahon had worked previously for the Village of Chicago Ridge as a Part Time Police Officer. Officer McMahon’s five year old son Landon pinned her star on her uniform during the swearing-in ceremony.
